Youth To The People:
Future Cream Launch
(2022)

Focus:
Creative Direction
Design Direction
Packaging Design

Youth To The People’s Polypeptide-121 Future Cream—the world’s first daily moisturizer that harnesses the power of advanced biotechnology and plant proteins to strengthen your skin’s barrier, visibly firm, and reduce the look of fine lines.

Leading the YTTP creative team, we developed a multifaceted launch campaign and visual identity system for ‘Future Cream’ that would signal the arrival of a first-of-it’s-kind moisture cream within the skincare world. Through firm visual strategy, taking cues from the philosophies of Buckminster Fuller and fringe–science research, we broadcast communications across photography, video, out-of-home, experiental, and beyond—to enhance the product’s impact within markets globally.

The future is a bridge that connects all things.

Motoring Coffee
(2023–)

Packaging Design

Motoring Coffee is a new coffee label and cafe housed under The Motoring Co. umbrella, with it’s first location built within the social club’s Sawtelle, Los Angeles space with further expansion coming in 2024.

Drawing a natural line between car culture and coffee consumption, Motoring Coffee is brewed for a life in motion. I worked directly with the brand’s founder over the course of a year to design and develop an identity and positioning that brought fresh aroma to the space, creating a versatile system that can be directed in a myriad of ways, just like the eclectic collection of automobiles in the space, with visuals and a color palette referential of the auto world—while also setting a distinctly curious mindset for consumers to engage with.

Terreau
(2023-24)

Focus:
Brand Identity
Creative Direction
Art Direction
Packaging Design

Nonconformist by nature and angled towards carving their own path, Terreau is a new apparel offering for mountain bikers, professional and weekend warrior alike, blurring the lines between on and off trail.

I worked with the founders, a former professional downhill rider, and director and photographer, to develop, incubate, and express a brand that captured the emotive essence of the sport—one that feels as momentous and innovative as it does atmospheric and tangible. We built in these key markers through the use of textured and active photography, a multilayered, technical typography system, and palette that’s fed by the subdued yet rich qualities of the earth.

Project:
Youth Stacks
(2021-22)

Focus:
Visual Identity
Creative Direction
Packaging Design

Youth To The People’s Youth Stacks™ combine two complimentary products into a single, efficacious package. Under my direction we developed concept, design language, wrote copy, produced and photographed these quirky sets leading into the Holiday ‘21-22 season.

The packaging was designed with the intention of feeling highly gift–able. We built the scale off of candle boxes, then wove in a bright, attention–grabbing color palette that felt reminiscent of building blocks (for your routine) and was inspired by the late, great Ellsworth Kelly. Each package also incorporated a bespoke illustration and clever copy line on the top of the box, directly correlated the set name and benefits. Youth Stacks™ were big (little) hits as stocking stuffers and easy-entry gifts for the beauty lovers in everyone’s lives.

Underdog
(2023-24)

Focus:
Creative Direction
Typography System
Menu Design

“Austin’s Best New Restaurant”, “One of the Most Anticipated Restaurant Openings of 2023”, “The World’s 50 Best Discovery List”—the accolades speak for themselves. Owned and operated by Richard Hargreave and Claudia Lee, Underdog is a “a wine bar with a Korean menu that would put many restaurants to shame“, featuring a mom-and-pop attitude and world-class pedigree.

I’ve begun working with Underdog on a holisitic brand elevation that aligns their visual expression with their top tier services and offerings. The first touch point of which has been a complete reconsideration of their typography system, and it’s application within key tangibles; their dinner menu and (fantastic) wine list.
